tomjudd.co.uk - 2006 - My second animation. This 1 minute animation is an observational piece. I spent days sat in a coffe shop sketching, looking at the subtleties of human behaviour. The final product is a fully hand drawn animation that explores human interaction and visible emotional traits.
The world falls apart as the inhabitance underestimate the significance of one man. Wheel Time is Tom Judd's last university project before he goes on to study animation at the Royal College of Art. You can view his entire portfolio by visiting www.tomjudd.co.uk
An animation produced in flash and after effects. The main character has become hooked on his fear of repetition. Will it ever end. Watch it and find out.

An early test of the rig. Color tracking the two cars using max msp, the coordinates are then sent to processing. Using trigonometry to work out the angle of each car from the center as well as the distance between the cars. The output is then created in processing using this data. Now I know the rig will work I can focus on the output.

The outcome of my first 2 week workshop at the RCA. We had to select a passage of speech from some old war interviews and then lip sync them up. I used a mixture of flash and stop frame animation bundled altogether in AfterEffects.
Colour tracking 2 scalextric cars with MAXmsp. Each car then controls the pay back of a 12 by 12 gird of animated frames, one playing across the X axis the other playing up the Y axis, thus allowing interactive 2 dimensional playback.
Made using MAXmsp and Processing.
