Riding in a Cab of a LIRR DE30AC locomotive as this Montauk Bound train is passing from Brightwaters, through just east of Islip Station. This locomotive is also sporting the newer K5LA horn.
On April 12, 2008 I was at the NYCT's Subway Car Rodeo at Coney Island. I took this video riding one of South Brooklyn Railways Locomotives in the cab as we rode around the loop of the yard. This excursion consisted of SBK's N1, a former work car converted from a school bus, and welded into a flat car, and SBK's N2.
Another R160 set this time leaving Coney Island and going Manhattan Bound this time with working announcements. The Train Operator (engineer) showed the conductor (C/R) who wasn't qualified on this set on how to program the announcements properly. Kudos to the T/O
I took a video using my new Canon ZR-800 camcorder of train 666 arriving, and leaving St. James, NY Station. This set was unusual to which usually has a DE30AC on one end, and a cab car on the other end to which this one had an engine on each end.
