Full length version of the Day IGS 13 approach to Kai Tak. Video opens on cockpit instruments showing the approach, some views of the area around Hong Kong, the landing and a long taxi in. This edit is with ambient noise. A short version of just the approach and landing is also available.

This is a compilation of my short snippet videos shot from the perimeter round (peri track) around the airport under the approach path to Hong Kong's Kai Tak airport in 1998. They were uploaded individually 2 years ago, but are much easier to watch this way. Primarily Cathay Pacific planes.
Filmed from the checkerboard used for the approach into Kai Tak. Overshoots and then lines it up just to get caught in the wind...again. Unedited. You can hear another enthusiast in the background with a scanner. Airboyd.
Removed soundtrack. This is a landing at the new Hong Kong airport CLK. Yes, it's a bit of a firm landing ;) It's a training flight, and yes, I did flare, just not enough. It was landing #2 or #3 in the plane. Idle reverse because it's so light and the engines are big enough to slow it down.
