New York Atlantic GP-10 # 201 makes it's final revenue run on the Aug 14, 2004 Stone train seen here as videos and stills. Taken on LIRR trackage in Ronkonkoma, Holtsville and Pine-Aire NY.
Found most of these clips mixed in with my videos of my kids... Greenport Scoot, An almost all parlor car train used as a regular weekday train during the end of the old stuff, An early NYA freight from 98' Testing of the DE units #400 with the cab car on the eastend. I worked in that building that had the rear parking lot right next to the LIRR tracks.
Project 39 fantrip. It went from Jamaica to Long Island City onto West Hempstead, Montauk and return.Took most of my video out east. Not to many people had video cameras back then. Happy the tapes held up. Couldn't shoot too much footage since I was riding on the train but spliced together some of the finer moments of the trip. Crank up the volume... the sound is excellent.
I believe this is the RS-60 coming into Ronkonkoma Station Track 1 with 14 mixed cars. Seen again heading east past the passenger yard. Train speed picked up once the engines passed through the cut-out loop.
